We want you to trust the reports you pay for. Here's exactly when a refund applies, and how to request one.
| Situation | Refund eligible? |
|---|---|
| VIN returns no data after purchase | Yes, full refund |
| Duplicate charge for the same report | Yes, full refund of duplicate |
| Technical error prevented report delivery | Yes, full refund |
| Charged but never received a report | Yes, full refund |
| Report delivered and contains accurate available data | No — see note below |
| Changed your mind after viewing the report | No |
| Report doesn't include an incident not reported to any data source | No |
A report that's delivered and reflects the data available from NMVTIS, NHTSA, and our partner providers is considered fulfilled, even if it doesn't show an incident that was never reported to those sources. We can't refund a report for "missing" information no database has on file — see our Terms of Service for the data accuracy disclaimer.
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
If you believe a refund was wrongly denied, reply to our response with any additional details — we review every case individually rather than applying this policy mechanically.
